I’ve been able to get along without a laptop for a while now. I use my smart phone and iPad for just about everything, and then I have a 9-year-old desktop computer that I use for things like lengthy writing and printing.
With two little ones now and a growing blog, however, I have found myself wishing I had a laptop more often. The problem with that is… I have no idea when we’ll have an extra thousand-plus to spend on a MacBook. It could be a while. Kids are expensive!
Then, randomly at a dermatology appointment, I saw the staff walking around with what appeared to be mini laptops. When I looked closer, I noticed the mini laptops were actually iPads in cases that made them function like laptops. I thought to myself, “That is exactly what I need!”
So, that afternoon when I got home, I searched online for iPad keyboard cases that made the iPad function like a laptop. I came across this one. The reviews were great, and it even looked like a Macbook in a way. So, I bought it.
It was the best $47 I’ve spent in a long time! This case has made my life so much easier. I haven’t taken my iPad out of the new case since the day I got it. It is so easy to use and convenient. I pay our bills on it, write almost all of my blog posts on it, create spreadsheets, and so much more. It makes watching movies super simple because the angle of the screen can be easily adjusted.
The iPad is so much easier to use with the built-in keyboard case.
I never really thought much about keyboard cases because I got one way back in the day as a gift for my mom when they were new. It was super bulky, the keyboard was not user-friendly, and it was almost more trouble than it was worth. They have since improved a lot and are a cost-effective way of turning your iPad into a laptop that also has a touchscreen, texting capabilities, and cellular data, which comes in handy when traveling.
The case I have is for the iPad Air 1. Be sure and check that your iPad is compatible with the version of the case before purchasing. If you have a different iPad, you can click on this link, and then click on the company name (located above the name of the product). It will take you to the company’s product page where you can find the case that fits your particular iPad.
I know I totally geeked out over an iPad case, but I really thought it was going to be years before I could type out my blog posts from anywhere in the house. It really has been a lifesaver for me and my blog.
