5 Simple Ways for Moms to Shop

This post may contain affiliate links. Please read my disclosure for more info.

As a mom, sometimes the thought of getting all of our shopping done with three young children in tow can be a little overwhelming.  Finding the time to go to all of the stores and then planning for snacks, naps, meals, and meltdowns can make for a not-so-fun shopping experience.  Whether you’re needing to pick up your weekly groceries, new clothing for the family, or gifts for others, this list can help.  I’ve used all of these ways to shop, and they have been lifesavers for me as a mom with little ones.

5 Simple Ways for Moms to Shop

Simple Ways for Moms to Shop

Ebates

Ebates is such an easy way to earn cash back just for shopping online.  I’ve included it in this list because not only can you earn cash back by going through their website first, they will also tell you about additional promotions and deals with each company right there on their website.  For example, as I am writing this, it shows that you can earn 2.5 percent back by shopping online at Carter’s through Ebates and get an extra 20 percent off of a $40 purchase.  A promo code is provided.  Ebates makes it easy to see what sales and coupons are available for many companies.  Learn more about how it works in my post “How to Earn Cash Back with Ebates.”  Sign up here, and you’ll get 10 dollars in your Ebates account after spending 25 dollars in qualifying purchases.

Amazon Prime

I don’t know what I would do without Amazon Prime!  I buy diapers, wipes, gifts, and other essentials from Amazon all the time.  With its free two-day shipping (sometimes same-day or next-day), it’s extremely convenient.  I have found it to be reliable as well.  It’s amazing to me that I am able to get free shipping with all of the heavy boxes of diapers and wipes I buy.  They make it so easy to order just about anything on their website, and they will deliver it to my front porch for free… Awesome!  I purchased Amazon Prime for the free two-day shipping, but that is just one of the benefits.  With Amazon Prime, you also get Prime Instant Video, Prime Music, and Prime Photos.  We love Amazon Prime!  You can try Amazon Prime by clicking here.

Target REDcard

Oh how I wish I would’ve gotten this card sooner.  Nobody wants another credit card, but the Target REDcard is totally worth it.  Plus, they have a debit card option, too.  When you shop using your REDcard, not only do you get 5 percent off at checkout (every time you shop), but you also get free shipping on most orders on target.com and an extra 30 days for returns.  As a new mom, I take advantage of these benefits often.  Shopping at SuperTarget with kids is great because I can get stuff I need for the house, clothes, accessories, gifts, and groceries all in one place!  Also, they will give your child (12 and under) a free cookie or piece of fresh fruit at the bakery.  My daughters love this perk.  If you don’t have a REDcard, you can apply for one by clicking on this link: Save 5% and get Free Shipping at Target – Apply for a REDcard.

Ibotta

Ibotta is another free way to earn cash back.  I am so bad about clipping coupons, remembering to take them to the store, and then figuring out which ones to use at checkout.  With Ibotta, you don’t have to worry about any of that. It’s like using coupons without the hassle of clipping coupons. You simply sign up for a free account and then after you shop, select your products that have coupons in the app (You may be asked to scan your products as well.), scan your receipt, and watch the cash fall into your Ibotta account. I use the app when I shop at Target and Kroger, but there are a lot of places you can use the service.  You can also earn cash back when shopping online by starting in your Ibotta app first.  For example, I can search Best Buy or Buy Buy Baby in my Ibotta app, press “Shop” and then earn cash back when shopping at bestbuy.com or buybuybaby.com.  You can find more creative ways to save money while shopping in your Ibotta app. You can receive a $10 welcome bonus by signing up for free through my link here.

Stitch Fix

Do you need a cute holiday party outfit but don’t have the time to go to the store or search the Internet for just the right one?  Maybe you just wish you could have your own personal stylist do your clothes shopping for you?  As a mom to three kids four and under, I can say that I totally understand!  That’s why I love Stitch Fix because it makes shopping for clothes so much easier! Having a personalized selection of clothes arrive on my doorstep is so convenient. Then, I love being able to try them on in my own home over the course of a few days without the hassle of going to the store. Stitch Fix is such a time saver!  I love it so much that I love giving the gift of Stitch Fix, too!  Check out the gift card options here.

More Simple Ways for Moms to Shop!

Update: I will continue to add to this list as I come across additional helpful ways for moms to shop!

Walmart Grocery Pickup

I heard about this free service from my neighbor.  She was taking in her groceries and mentioned that she had just done her grocery shopping using Walmart Grocery Pickup.  When she was telling me about it, I knew that I had to try it.  The thought of just parking and someone bringing my groceries to my car sounded pretty great.  So, I gave it a try.  I put in my order online and selected a time for pickup.  There were only two time slots left for that day, so I chose the next morning for pickup.  That morning, I loaded up our daughters, and we headed to Walmart.  The parking lot had clear signs leading us to the parking area for grocery pickup.  Once we parked, we called the number that was on the sign in front of our parking spot.  Within a few minutes, the Walmart associate brought our groceries to the car.  I signed, loaded the groceries, and we were back on the road.  It was the quickest Walmart shopping experience.

You can buy more than just groceries through this service; you can shop in other departments including toys, home, baby, sports, and electronics.   To try Walmart Grocery Pickup, click on my referral link, and you will get $10 to use on your first shopping trip.

Gift Cards

If you’re needing to buy a gift for someone, shopping for gift cards is simple, and everybody loves to receive them!  You can shop for many different brands, all in one place, and have them delivered to you or them.  Check out Amazon’s Gift Cards page.  There you can search through available gift cards for many different brands in a variety of categories like restaurants, department stores, clothing, books, and travel.  Of course, you can buy Amazon gift cards, too.  Many of the gift cards are available in gift boxes at no extra charge.  This makes shopping so simple!

3 Easy Ways to Save Money on Travel – Great for Families!

We love traveling.  Whether it’s a last-minute, spontaneous weekend trip or a thoughtfully planned out week-long vacation, sometimes it’s nice to just get away on a family vacation. One of my favorite things about traveling is how much money can be saved.  For example, we rarely spend money on hotels.  If we need to rent […]
